Summer 2018 Girls Tech Camp

SDSU's College of Engineering Femineer Program, in partnership with SDSU's Build IT, SDSU's PLTW Affiliate site and Qualcomm, will be offering the following summer technology camps for girls:

Incoming 7th and 8th graders for the 2018-2019 school year: Option 1: August 1 - 2, 2018 or Option 2: August 6 - 7, 2018

Incoming 9th and 10th graders for the 2018-2019 school year: Option 1: August 9 - 10, 2018

Each day runs from 9am - 3pm. Drop-off/Pick-up will be at San Diego State University (5500 Campanile Drive, San Diego, CA 92182). You are responsible for getting your daughter to and from the camp site (we will not be providing transportation or additional child care). Your daughter can attend this 2-day technology camp to learn to code with Scratch, program circuits, and program her own wearable technology to create an interactive tote bag to bring home. The $75 camp registration fee includes: hands-on activities during the 2-day camp at SDSU, take home projects (LED nametag & wearable technology/interactive tote bag), a Girls Tech Camp goody bag, and daily snacks.

Space is very limited, so apply early! We will review all the applications and send out confirmation emails to students selected to attend the camp. If you receive a confirmation email, you must confirm your daughter's attendance by completing the 2 following steps: 1) paying the $75 registration fee (payment link will be provided in the confirmation email), and 2) mailing us the signed parent permission form 3 weeks prior to the camp. If you have any questions, please contact Megan Lacy, School Programs Manager, at mlacy@sdsu.edu.
