Teachers Eating Pizza: Tracking Sea Level Rise

Experience a new Earth and Space Science activity, a live planetarium show and stargazing on the first Wednesday of each month.

Teachers Eating Pizza is an earth and space science workshop for K-12 teachers, informal educators, after-school program providers, pre-service teachers and the university community.

Tracking Sea Level Rise: Explore natural and man-made causes for sea level rise using NASA satellite data.

  • Workshop theme: Tracking Sea Level Rise

    Areas covered: analying and interpreting data, constructing explanations, systems, patterns, cause and effect, human impact on the environment.
     

  • Planetarium theme: Tidal Forces

    You may know that the Moon causes the tides in the ocean of the Earth, but did you know tidal forces act on other celestial objects? Learn about the effect of tides on moons, black holes, and galaxies, too!
