Viasat in a Virtual Classroom

In today's environment, teachers are challenged with building online lesson plans and students are now absorbing schoolwork from home and on their computers. Understanding the challenges of pivoting to an online classroom, Viasat is excited to leverage our history and passion for teaching science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) to students of all ages, in a virtual classroom setting.

Similar to a field trip or a show and tell presentation, a Viasat employee volunteer may join your virtual classroom for an hour presentation on Viasat's technology, space, STEAM careers, and more! Viasat's hands-on approach allows us to provide students with information, activities, and interactions with our employees who are solving some of the world’s toughest communications problems.

Key takeaways:

  • A dedicated hour to teach students about STEAM education & careers
  • An interactive presentation to keep students engaged
  • Presenters and topics for elementary, middle, and high school classes
