The mission of the San Diego Model Railroad Museum is to research, collect, preserve, and present the heritage of American railroading
using educational programs, displays, toy trains, and scale models of California railroads. Our museum houses five large scale model railroads representing N, O, HO and G scale trains. Additionally , we develop temporary exhibitions that focus on the history of both railroading and model railroading in the United States. Our education department offers several STEM programs for the public, scouts, families and school students.
