Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Advocacy/Philanthropy & Government

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society offers a free STEM Curriculum to schools that are actively involved with LLS’s Pennies for Patients program.
The Pennies for Patients program is a STEM focused program at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society that educates students at a very age appropriate level about what blood cancers are, and how they can help us find a cure. LLS offers a free STEM Curriculum to every school participating in the program, regardless of fundraising amounts.
The STEM curriculum covers Common Core Standards and hosts 4-6 activities per grade level with emphasis on science and women in STEM professions with a featured woman in STEM and survivor story for each grade level. Each lesson plan comes with a comprehensive teacher guide, and in a ready-to-go format.
