AXEIS is a youth-led STEM initiative dedicated to reaching underserved communities to increase accessibility, opportunity, and enthusiasm for science, technology, and engineering. Founded and run by students, AXEIS centers peer-driven learning that makes STEM engaging, relatable, and welcoming, especially for learners who may not otherwise have access to hands-on STEM experiences.
AXEIS delivers interactive, hands-on curriculum focused on robotics, engineering design, coding, and applied science. Programs are inquiry-based and NGSS-aligned, emphasizing exploration, creativity, and real-world problem solving rather than lecture-style instruction. Activities are designed to complement classroom learning while fostering confidence, collaboration, and curiosity.
By collaborating with schools, libraries, and community organizations, AXEIS brings STEM programming directly to the spaces where students already gather. While not all programming is competition-based, AXEIS is strengthened by youth leaders with regional and state Science Olympiad experience. Through these partnerships, AXEIS reaches more students, removes access barriers, and helps cultivate a lasting love for STEM and future pathways in science and engineering.
