Woman of Impact

The American Heart Association recently noted an alarming decline in awareness that cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of women - and too many women, particularly our youngest most diverse women, remain unaware. The price of cardiovascular disease is high, and 1 in 3 women will pay that price with their life.

When women come together, there is nothing we can't achieve. COVID, heart disease, stroke - we won't let it beat us. It's time to take action, because one is too many!

Woman of Impact is a campaign supporting the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement. It's not just about wearing red, it's about sharing heart health facts. It's about all women standing together in the fight for heart health equality. When we take a stand and work together, real change is possible.

Woman of Impact candidates are individuals with a passion and drive to make a difference in the health and well-being of their community. Participants bring together their own network to form an impact team, set a goal, explore fundraising resources, and have a direct impact on the community. This special group of women will be celebrated for the overall impact they have on our mission and community. In addition, the woman who brings her network together to have the largest impact will be named the 2022 San Diego Woman of Impact award winner!
