Promoting STEM for Girls - Girl Scout Badge workshops

Challenge Island® San Diego Coastal is a community partner with Girl Scout  San Diego. We offer engaging, hands-on STEAM Girl Scout virtual workshops for girls of all levels – Daisies to Seniors! We have put together a special workshop just for you!

* Our whimsical, creativity-based STEM/STEAM curriculum inspires girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.

* The Scientific Method / Engineering Design Process is used by girls throughout every challenge as our cross-curricular island themes extend their learning across multiple disciplines.

* Both left & right sides of the brain are utilized as innovative, creative thinking is encouraged and celebrated.

* Challenges emphasize valuable skills such as communication, critical & creative thinking, flexibility, leadership, initiative, social skills & grit.

These are not sit-watch-a-video and do the activity on your own types of classes!  These workshops are highly interactive, led live by an instructor and just as hands-on as our in-person classes.
