Promoting STEM for Girls - Girl Scout Cadettes Badge workshops

Sponsored in Partnership with National Girls Collaborative and If/Then initiative.

At this workshop, girls will use the Engineering Design Process to understand a real-world issue, create a design & build an African Safari Park tourist business; creating a business plan, logo & tagline, developing expenses & revenue, and identifying who are their customers.  They will then develop and give a presentation pitch to an “investor board” and ask for seed money to “fund” their business to get it started.  Our own personal Shark Tank experience!  Girls are encouraged to wear their sash/vest. 

Once registered, we will send you a materials list which the Girl Scout can have a scavenger hunt with around the house.  Many to all of the items are things you have in the house.  You can gather an item OR substitute something else. 

NOTE: We will also send you a few pre workshops activities to be completed prior for the add-on STEM Career Exploration Badge.
